FAQs
Who can volunteer?
You must be 18 or older to volunteer. Additionally, you must be available from June 25th to July 1st 2024. If you’re not a UK resident, you must check your eligibility to volunteer in your visa terms.
What will I be doing?
You’ll be volunteering on one of our bars onsite at Glastonbury, so you’ll need to wear comfortable shoes as you’ll be on your feet for hours at a time.
What is expected of me?
Volunteers are expected to complete the equivalent of three eight-hour shifts (with breaks) between Wednesday and Sunday at the festival. You’ll also be expected to sign our volunteer agreement that outlines our code of conduct while at the festival.
Will I be given training?
There will be a virtual training session ahead of the festival as well as onsite training to make sure everyone knows what to do ahead of their shifts.
What will I need to bring?
Volunteers are required to camp on the Avalon campsite, but you’ll need to bring your own tent and camping equipment. Please make sure tents are an appropriate size for your groups, Avalon bars and events reserve the right to take down structures deemed too large. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate campervans on our campsite.
What facilities are onsite?
We provide showers, two meal vouchers for every shift you’re scheduled for (vouchers are exclusively for the campsite mess tent), and a couple of T-shirts to wear whilst you’re on shifts. The toilets and showers each have a private individual cubicle and are gender-neutral. There are also free tea and coffee facilities as well as phone charging stations in the mess tent. When you are not on shift, you’re free to enjoy the festival!
How do I get there?
We provide free coaches to and from the designated meeting spot in Bristol to the festival. You will be able to sign up for coaches closer to the time.
